Have you ever known anyone who actually made serious money with a multi-level marketing company (MLM)?

I knew some guys who were really smart and they worked away at one for a year, and never made more than 0 per month.
Have you ever known anyone to have success with these things?

Has anyone had success or disappointment with MLM companies?
ACN(telecommunications) is the only one I know of you don’t have to sell products, and after 14 years is in 19 countries and going into Asia next year. I’m in Australia.
